Time for your Checkup

Almost a kindergartener

Next year, all three of my babies will be in school, all at the same school, Ecoff Elementary. It's hard to believe.

Crazy Hat Day

Grandma Hatch outdid herself for Dr Seuss week's Crazy Hat Day at school!!!

You loved it and wore it for three days, then decided you needed the toys taken off so you could play with them. :)

Dentist

We have come a long way since your first visit when you cried and refused to open your mouth. :)

Play date with Katie and Nathan

The letter x

We were met with a challenge last week. You got the share bag sent home with the dreaded letter x.

Well, there are not too many words that start with x. So... I brought an X-ray machine to school with X-ray copies. Your friends loved it.

Police Station Visit!!!

Last week, we visited the police station!!!

I wrote this letter to the police station to thank them and they featured you and all your pictures on their page!!  What an awesome day.

The one picture is of you in your "police boat" carting the bad guy off to jail in your "police trailer" of laundry baskets. You have such a great imagination.

Campout with Daddy and the Scouts

On Friday you went camping at our church!!!  You said it was so much fun, very cold, and lots of smoke.

You said the mulch was the hardest part. :)

Play Day with Nate

Aunt Michelle's family member Aunt Lisa Hall died the other day. She was a wonderful inspiration to me because she lived a full life and did not let the fact that she had Down's Syndrome stop her.

Aunt Michelle and Uncle Dave went to the funeral today so we got to spend some time with your true best friend and favorite cousin Nate.

After school, we went to Chick fil a for ice cream and played.

Easter Bunny at Church

Out of all the kids in the whole church, you were the most enamoured with the "Easter Egg Bunny".

You say in his lap and kept saying hi and jumping up and down. As we left, I whispered in your ear "Henry, that's the REAL Easter Bunny!"  You smiled that big smile and said excitedly "I KNOW!!!" And were excited talking all about him and as usual asking many questions about how we walked to your house, how did he find those eggs.. Did he lay the eggs... What is his name?

Not there yet

As I am getting very behind on your baby book, let me as I always say
"Start by actually starting".

This is a picture from when the girls were little. You must have been about 3 months old, so I would have been home with you when this was taken. I just look at your sisters faces, and the faces of these church kids that you have grown up with and it makes my heart ache just a little. It reminds me how little you were and how much you've grown. It makes me remember these are days I will never get back.

It's not forever that you will make up an excuse just to have me come upstairs so I can tuck you in. You won't always ask for 5, 10, 46 hugs and 5,10, 46 kisses.
You won't always ask me to make you Nutella sandwiches. You won't always randomly say I love you and ask me if you can marry me and then when you find out you can't, then suggest that we all live together when you grow up. Me, Charlotte, and Grandma and GPA.  I am not sure why Mike and Ruby were not included that day. 😍

So yes, I am having a sappy day just thinking about how much I love and adore you. Your little hands and feet that seem so small when compared to how smart you are and all the things you have learned to do.
You are just the sweetest, most thoughtful, loving boy I could ask for.
I hope you keep these attributes as you grow because they are rare, special, and a wonder and joy to be around.
